When Do You Get The Most Done?

I have always been a morning person.

I know that may be strange to some people, but even as a teenager, I would spring out of bed before the sun had come up.

There was always this feeling that I was wasting part of the day if I didn't get up to do something.

I honestly don't know what I was doing all of the time in the morning (probably watching television), but I just felt that I wanted to get something done.  I wanted to be productive.

I recently read an article that says Tuesdays are the Most Productive Day of the Week, and for me I believe this is absolutely true.

I often feel like I have to push through a case of "The Mondays" when that first day of the work week rolls in, but by Tuesday, I'm in the zone and I get a lot done.

By Wednesday, I'm still getting lots of things done, but by Thursday, I'm thinking about one more day until the weekend.

I believe my wife is a night owl because she is still very alert at the end of the day, but I am usually drained.

Since that is the case for me, I find that I have to get up early to be productive during a day.

I enjoy learning different ways that people get things done and I often learn about new ways while I'm listening to podcasts.

Questions:  Thinking about your own productivity, when do you get the most done?  Is it Tuesday for you?  Is it at a certain time? Why do you think that is?

  • I have yet to notice a specific day. I’ll have to pay more attention. I see how knowing this could be very beneficial. I would schedule my projects for that day over tasks for that day.
