An April Fool’s Prank to Remember

This is my last week of work in the place where I've been for 12 years.

During the course of those years, I have established trust with lots of people and I have served lots of staff members in their technology needs.

Part of what I'll miss on this job is how well our team has flowed and how well we have worked together to help everyone else do their jobs without them having to give a second thought about technology support.

Our staff knows that we keep them on the cutting edge of technology and this provided the perfect setup for one last April Fool's Prank.

That Kind of Co-Worker

Workplaces can be some interesting environments.

You interact with people who may have different beliefs or customs, different educational levels or dialects, and even different ways in which they were taught etiquette (A.K.A. "home training").

If you are fortunate, you work in an office with encouraging people who generally get along and also respect each others' boundaries.

If you aren't so fortunate, I'm so sorry that's the case and hopefully things will get better or hopefully you'll find another job somewhere else.

Either way though, you have probably dealt with at least one annoying or aggravating co-worker at times.

If you are honest, you and I have probably been annoying co-workers to someone at some point in time as well.  Hopefully, we keep our offenses to a minimum.

Stop Saying Backslash

I'm a computer geek.  In fact, working with and around computers is my day job and I love what I am able to do on the internet.

In addition to being a technology professional, I also enjoy teaching people and doing training (kinda happens when most of your family consists of educators).

So, when I hear people saying something incorrectly over and over again, I cringe.
